INSPIRATION
The creative sophistication and industrial aesthetic of New York-style loft living inspired the conversion of a historic warehouse into 24 modern homes and three retail units. Completed in 2008, The Ellison was part of Yaletown’s decades-long transformation from an industrial area to one of the city’s most celebrated neighbourhoods.
HISTORIC ROOTS, MODERN LIVING
We wanted to honour the industrial heritage of this 1928 warehouse while crafting homes that meet the needs of today. Our design preserved the building’s defining features: exposed concrete walls, towering fir wood beams and 11-foot ceilings—while integrating modern conveniences. Sleek contemporary kitchens and bathrooms complement the timeless elements, as do livable details like custom sliding wall systems, ample storage and in-suite laundry.
